The 110th airline company of Istanbul Airport is Greece-based SKY Express.
Stating that they reached the 110 airlines they targeted for 2024 in a short time, Istanbul Airport Operator İGA CEO Selahattin Bilgen said, “We aim to close the year with 81 million passengers. We are currently about to sign agreements with two more airlines. We want to surpass Bangkok Airport and become the world leader in the number of airlines served by the end of 2024.”
The 110th airline company served by Istanbul Airport, Turkey’s gateway to the world, is Greece-based SKY Express. The airline company made its first flight from Athens, the capital of Greece, today. A ceremony was held at Istanbul Airport for the first flight. Istanbul Airport Operator İGA CEO Selahattin Bilgen, SKY Express Chairman of the Board of Directors Ioannis Grylosve and other guests attended the ceremony. SKY Express will operate reciprocal flights between Athens and Istanbul 7 days a week. In the flights to be organized with Airbus A320 Neo type aircraft, passengers will have the opportunity to transfer to Greek islands such as Mykonos, Santorini, Corfu, Kos, Paros and Herakleion.
