Beylerbeyi Pier

Located in Beylerbeyi, known as Ortaköy of the Anatolian side, just under the Bosphorus Bridge, the pier attracts attention with its historical structure. The pier, which was first built of wood, was damaged in the great earthquake in 1894 and was renewed in 1898. After serving in this form for years, it was closed in the early 2000s and was renovated and put into service again. The length of the ferry docking area of the pier, which has a small fishing shelter next to it, is 15.2 meters, the height of the pier above the water is 1.3 meters, and the depth of the front of the pier is 5.7 meters. The pier, which is among the historical heritages of Istanbul, continues to reflect the memories of the past and serve as a companion to the ferries.
