Darica Zoo

Darıca Faruk Yalçın Zoo and Botanical Park is equidistant from Istanbul, Turkey's largest province, and Kocaeli, its second richest province. It can be reached in approximately an hour. It is located in Darıca, a region with clean air and plenty of greenery. Today, the park has become a green island in the middle of unplanned constructions and has become a cultural center that provides visitors with opportunities for rest, entertainment, having a good time and learning. It is the zoo with the most species in our country, with over 200 species and an animal population of over 2,100 in an area of 80 decares. 140 of its species are in danger of extinction, and 30 of them are species that require critical protection. Additionally, 15 species of rare species of Anatolia are in our park.
