Galata Bridge

It is one of the rare bascule bridges in the world where trams pass over it. The first bridge connecting the Golden Horn, known as the "Galata Bridge", was built in 1845. This bridge was renovated in 1863, 1875 and 1912; The bridge, in the style of the First National Architectural Movement, built in 1912, has become one of the symbols of the city.
