Sphendon Wall

The last piece of the famous hippodrome in the Historical Peninsula that has resisted time for about 1700 years is currently used as a retaining wall and is waiting to be protected despite its current problems. The wall, which witnessed the early years of the Eastern Roman Empire together with the Obelisk, Ormetaş and Serpent Column from the Constantinople days of Istanbul, is on the agenda with a new protection project.
